The Luwian Lab · Casino math, decoded

The Luwian Lab

Four interactive calculators and a growing shelf of T&C deep dives, built so a bonus, a wager or an RTP figure never again has to be taken on faith. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is stored. The maths is open to anyone who wants to check it.

Why the Lab exists

Casino marketing is loud. Four hundred percent match, a hundred free spins, cash drops, VIP tiers, no deposit needed. Underneath the headline sits a wager multiplier, a bet cap, a game weighting, an expiry clock, a withdrawal cap and a maximum convert-to-cash figure. By the time all of that is applied, the real expected value in a player's pocket is usually a small fraction of the headline number, sometimes it is zero, occasionally it is negative.

The Lab does the arithmetic. It is a public workshop where every claim a casino makes about a bonus, a wager, a payout speed or a return-to-player percentage is pulled apart, modelled honestly, and shown as a number you can act on. If a two hundred euro bonus is actually worth seven euros of expected value once you fold the terms in, we want you to see that before you deposit, not after.

Every tool here runs client-side. There are no accounts, no cookies collecting what you type, no data sent back to us. Open the source if you want to check the maths. We rewrite these pages whenever the sector shifts, so if a regulator changes a cap, a studio releases a new RTP version, or an operator tightens a wager rule, the calculators and lookups catch up fast.

T&C Decoded, written for players

The second shelf in the Lab is a slow-growing library of long-form, plain-English decodes of the small print that sits inside casino offers. Not a glossary. Each decoded piece picks one real clause, from a real brand, and takes it apart, line by line, so the next time you see the same phrasing anywhere else, you can read it in five seconds.

Max Bet Rule

The 5 euro ceiling you miss on the way in

Most bonus terms state a maximum bet while the wager is open. Breach it once, even by one cent on an autoplay round, and the whole balance is void. We walk through four real wordings, how operators actually enforce the rule, and what you can safely stake.

Game Weighting

Why your 100 euro slot bet counts, but your blackjack bet does not

A slot usually contributes 100 percent to the wager. A table game, 10 percent. Live blackjack, often zero. We model the real wager a mixed session clears, and why mixing is often a trap, not a shortcut.

Withdrawal Cap

You cleared the wager. Why is the cashier only letting you withdraw 100?

Bonus winnings almost always carry a maximum conversion cap. We take four real examples, show the exact cap in euros, and work out what the real ceiling means on a 20, 50 or 100 euro deposit.

Lab questions, answered

Does the Lab recommend specific casinos?

No. The Lab is intentionally brand-free. The calculators work with any numbers you paste in, and the decoded articles name real brands only where the clause itself is quoted directly. Our market pages do the ranking work. The Lab does the maths.

Are the calculators accurate?

They are accurate for the inputs you give them. A bonus value calculator is only as honest as the terms you feed into it, so always pull the figures straight from the operator's bonus T&Cs rather than from the marketing banner. Where a term is deliberately vague, our decoded articles call it out.

Where does the RTP data come from?

Three sources: the official PAR sheets or help pages that studios publish, the regulator-filed RTP information where it exists, and spot-checks our reviewers run on live games. Where an operator serves a lower-RTP version of a slot, we flag it in the lookup rather than averaging it out.

Do my inputs get sent back to Luwian?

Nothing you type leaves your browser. The calculators are plain JavaScript running on this page. There is no login, no analytics on these specific inputs, and no stored history. Refresh the page and your numbers are gone.

How often is the Lab updated?

Decoded articles get a refresh when the clause they analyse changes in the wild. The RTP lookup is updated monthly, or sooner if a studio ships a new build. The calculators themselves rarely need changes, since the underlying maths does not move.

Can I suggest a new tool?

Yes. Email the team through our Contact page. We prioritise tools that answer a question a real player types into search, not generic educational pieces that already live elsewhere.
